The Frome Half Marathon returns for 2017 and is looking for Event Support Team members to support all aspects of organisation for this fantastic day for the town.
With areas of work including runner marshalling, spectator way-finding, race village coordination, refreshment station management, Event Support Officers are the key to making the visitor and runner experience truly unique.
Roles will be allocated to individuals based on their interests and strengths, to suit availability and to offer the greatest enjoyment from the experience. All roles will require full commitment from early on Sunday 16 July 2017 and for a number of hours on at least one day prior to the event for briefing and planning.
There are varying levels of commitment required for our Event Support Team, dependent on the complexity of the role undertaken.
All roles require presence at the Frome Half Marathon from early on Sunday 16 July 2017 until at least lunchtime. All roles will require some initial induction or briefing of a number of hours that will be scheduled with notice at evenings or weekends.
Some roles will require longer hours on race day and more detailed briefing or planning in advance. The likely commitment will be discussed with each person at the application / information stage.
Event Support Team members need a positive and friendly manner, with a willingness to work in a busy, outdoor environment.
Most roles will require individuals to stand for long periods of time or to walk longer distances that usual. There are a number of roles more suitable for those with restricted mobility or disabilities, just provide details when you apply.
