RACE DAY INFORMATION
PARKING: Please follow signs to event parking at the Frome Cricket Club, Rodden Road, Frome, Somerset, BA11 2AH. Please don’t park on the roads around the Frome Town Football Club.
- STARTING LINE/PENS
STARTING LINE/PENS: The race start is not divided into race pens as this is too complicated with three events starting at the same time. Please line up on the start line according to your ability, if you expect to be competitive in your race head to the front so you don’t get held up on the start line, if this is your first event please start a little further back.
- RACE START
RACE START: Please follow signs to the race start which is behind the spectator stand to the east of the football pitch. The race starts at 10am so please be in place in plenty of time. All three races start at the same time from the same place.
- ROUTE INFORMATION
ROUTE INFORMATION: All three races are well signed by marshalls and are run on closed roads. The front runner in each event will be lead around the course by a highly qualified and experienced motorbike marshall.
- FIRST AID
FIRST AID: We have first aid points out around the courses and in the race village. Please alert a marshall if you or any other runner is having difficulties, our first aid providers will be mobile over the whole course.
FINISH: The races all finish where they start and you will be handed a medal, goody bag and bottle of water by our finish line volunteers. First aid will be available here if you need it.
- RACE NUMBERS AND TIMING CHIPS
RACE NUMBERS AND TIMING CHIPS: Numbers and Timing Chips: In 2016 runners will receive their race number and timing chip by post. If you haven’t received yours by 1st July please email email@example.com. Runners who enter between 1st and 9th July will have to collect their race pack in the race village on the day, where registration will be open from 8am – 9.30am. THERE ARE NO ENTRIES ON THE DAY!
Half marathon runners will have green race numbers, 10K runners will have red race numbers and the 5K will be issued with blue race numbers.
BAGGAGE: We provide a secure bag store in the Frome Town Football Club which will be attended at all times by our volunteers. Items are left at your own risk.
TOILETS: There are plenty of toilets available in the Football Club, as well as portaloos around the back of the club house.
HEADPHONES: We do not allow runners to have headphones in while running around the course. Any runner seen with headphones will be automatically disqualified from the event. We enforce this rule for your safety so please respect it!
WATER: Water stations are provided at regular intervals across the three races and will be manned by volunteers.
RESULTS: You will be able to look up your result as soon as you cross the finish line. Please look for the DB Max tent where you can print out your results. After race day please follow the links on this website to see the full results of the three events.
