Frome Half Marathon, sponsored by Sound Foundation Community Care’

The Frome Half Marathon returns to the town for the 7th time in 2017 and will again be run on closed roads around the town and surrounding villages. The event is open to runners aged 17 and above and will be run under a RunBritain Licence (applied for).

Start: 10am Sunday 15th July 2018.

Location: The start and finish lines are both in the race village at Frome Town Football Club, Berkley Road, Frome, Somerset, BA11 2EH. PLEASE FOLLOW SIGNS TO EVENT PARKING.

How to Enter: Follow the link on this website. This year we will post out race numbers and timing chips in advance of race day; please email if you haven’t received your race number by the 1st July. Entries are open until 8th July and entries received between 1st and 8th July will be due for collection in the race village on the day.

NB. No entries after 8th July and no entries on the day. We expect to reach our race limit again this year so enter early to avoid disappointment!


Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the first three men and women in the race and for the winners of the following categories:
MV40, MV50, MV60, FV40, FV50 and FV60.

King & Queen of the Mountain: All half marathon competitors will be timed as they run up Egford Hill to see who will be crowned King & Queen of the Mountain 2018. We introduced this event in 2015 and as it was so popular will be awarding age group prizes this year! Prizes to be awarded in this competition are:

• Fastest man (King of the Mountain)
• Fastest woman (Queen of the Mountain)
• The fastest runners in the following age categories – MV40, MV50, MV60, FV40, FV50, FV60.
